About Us

Mara moved from Italy to London in 2007 to gain her BA in Dance Theatre and she has been teaching Pilates since 2011.
“I believe that Pilates is truly for everyone. No matter your level of fitness, age or previous experience, exercises can be adapted to suit your
needs. Through Pilates you will develop more body awareness and learn how to recognise and correct wrong habits. As a result, you’ll be able to move more efficiently and pain-free, which leads to the ultimate goal: being able to enjoy the everyday activities you love, from training for a marathon to gardening, from playing with your grandchildren to sitting at your desk working. No matter our age, we are all aging. Pilates can help us age better”. Mara is trained to teach on all Pilates machines and has dealt with different injuries. She is also trained to teach pre and postnatal women, people with osteoporosis, the elderly and people with chronic lower back pain.
Mike graduated from Brunel University with a BSc in Sports Sciences and followed it up by gaining a Sports Massage qualification with YMCAfit. He also holds an MSc in Sports Therapy from London Metropolitan University. Mike completed his matwork Pilates certification with APPI (The Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute) and his large equipment training with Pilates Body Europe and P.E.A.R Pilates (Pilates Education and Research). Within a clinical setting Mike has worked with patients of all ages and functional ability and his main focus during treatment and rehabilitation is movement. “I believe that correct movement can help the body to heal faster and better, and to overcome any imbalances which may be the cause or result of the injury”. Which is why, for him, Pilates is one of the most useful rehabilitation tools.
