Why Private Pilates Classes?
In our initial session we will discuss your short- and long-term goals. Why have you decided to start Pilates? What do you hope to achieve? We can then tailor your programme to help you get there. Pilates is a form of exercise that can be adapted to your own level of fitness – so it is truly for everyone, whether you are an athlete or a couch-potato, whether you have retired or you spend long hours at the office, whether you are a new mum or a pensioner or have an injury. Private sessions allow you to make the most of your time, as they will be specific to your needs.
How Can We Help?
We will help you develop awareness of your own body, so you will be able to recognise wrong habits and correct them in time. This will enable you to move more efficiently and pain-free, in order to enjoy the things that you like doing – your favourite sport, gardening, playing with your grandchildren, sitting at your desk, going for long walks.
What do you need?
All you need initially is a mat. We can then discuss whether you might benefit from the use of small props like small balls, elastic bands, weights, or the big Pilates equipment like Reformers.
Questions about Pilates in Sevenoaks

How many Pilates sessions do I need to see results?
There is no straight answer to this question, everybody is different. We can reply with Joseph Pilates’ words though: “In ten sessions you’ll feel the difference, in twenty you’ll see the difference, and in thirty you’ll have a whole new body”.
How much is a session and how can I pay?
A one-hour session is £60 and payment must be made in advance of every class via bank transfer. You can also share the class with friends or family; the cost will stay the same regardless of how many people take the class. Please email us for more details.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Late cancellations occurring with less than 24 hours notice will be charged at the full rate of the original appointment.
Will I lose weight with Pilates?
Pilates is a great body-conditioning method to tone the body, but it has no real impact on weight loss, especially at a beginner or intermediate level. This is because of the limited aerobic component of the technique. At a more advanced level, the pace may pick up to offer a greater challenge to the aerobic system, but it is still not considered cardiovascular training.
Do I need other forms of exercise?
Pilates is good on its own, but even better if it is combined with some form of cardiovascular exercise, at any level (running, swimming, etc.)
